Human Frames is a travelling exhibition developed by Lowave since 2009, when the project was selected and awarded by ASEF, the Asia-Europe Foundation. Human Frames presents works of video art and experimental cinema from 99 European and Asian contemporary artists who put in perspective 10 moods such as happiness, desire, madness, fanaticism, fear, anger, isolation, melancholy and the Asian concepts of mono no aware and impermanence.
Since its inception, Human Frames has travelled the world in various forms: exhibitions, festival screenings and academic presentations. International institutional partners such as The Substation in Singapore, the Museum Kunst-im-Tunnel (KIT) in Düsseldorf, the Werkstatt der Kulturen & Freie Universität Berlin, the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris, Al-Riwaq Art Space in Bahrain has already welcomed this project. The 10 programs were also issued on DVD in 2012 with editorial support from the CNC.
