The track is being written on a pedestrian drift around rue Saint Denis in Paris (an old streetwalkers territory). The anarchic sounds hit the flâneur in a fake linearity. These rough or processed recordings form the craddle of a “found text” made of misheard fragments caught by a spy microphone, from signs and posters singled out by chance, observations unfolding at the pace of the walk.
In 2002, the Contemplation Room project brought together international artists for a show at the Overgaden gallery and events in various public spaces in Copenhagen. The Sleep In Opera invited the audience to take part in a five nights sleep performance in a bunker under the Hans Christian Ørstedn park.
